Após três anos, o projeto instrumental Deserto Polar retorna com o lançamento do single "Petricor". A faixa tem influência do lo-fi e explora variações dinâmicas das mesmas ideias melódicas/harmônicas, indo desde uma progressão de arpejos com apenas uma guitarra limpa até um arranjo com banda completa – com metais, baixo, bateria e distorções a gosto – e fazendo o caminho de volta.

O título, "Petricor", é o nome do aroma que a chuva provoca ao cair em solo seco e sugere uma experiência sinestésica aos ouvintes. O intuito é que a música traga tanto o aconchego de um cair de tarde com aquela chuvinha leve quanto a agitação de uma tempestade.

A arte de capa foi criada com assistência de uma famosa ferramenta de inteligência artificial e posteriormente foi bastante editada para se encaixar no conceito desejado pelo autor.

After three years, the instrumental one-man band Deserto Polar returns with a new single, "Petricor". The track has lo-fi music influences and explores dynamic variations of the same melodic and harmonic ideas, going from a progression of arpeggios with just a clean guitar to a full band arrangement – ​​with bass, drums, brass and overdriven guitars to taste – and coming the way back.

The song is named after the earthy scent produced when rain falls on dry soil and suggests a synesthetic experience to the listeners. The aim is to bring both the warmth of a lightly rainy afternoon and the hustle and bustle of a storm.

The cover art was created with the assistance of a famous A.I. tool and was later heavily edited to fit the concept desired by the author.
